Let's send a clear message to UPMC:
nurses and patients deserve to be heard!

Nurses, patients, community members, and elected officials are calling on the UPMC Magee-Womens Board of Directors to hold their annual public meeting in person and allow for nurses and the public to address the board during a one hour comment period.

After several months at the bargaining table, UPMC has yet to respond to some of Magee nurses' most urgent proposals, including those about staffing and retention. Instead, UPMC is using resources to run Phase 2.0 of an anti-union campaign: paying expensive lawyers and consultants to campaign against union membership, making marginal improvements while withholding others, and even pointing to the "futility" of Magee negotiations as a reason for nurses in other hospitals to give up on organizing.

Now, nurses, patients, community members, and elected officials are taking their concerns about this behavior up a level to the board. 

We have until Labor Day (September 7) to gather as many signatures as possible on this letter from everyone across Allegheny County who has a stake in how patient care is delivered in our hospitals.
